January President’s Notes

Happy New Year Mercy Moms!

Wow, it seems as though the first half of the school year has gone by so quickly! As I reflect on all of the wonderful Mothers Club events, I am amazed. The undying support of our Mercy mothers is such a blessing. So many of you have given your time and talents over and over again. Thank you everyone, for making Mercy Mothers Club so special.

January is a great time to tour Mercy! Please encourage all 7th and 8th grade girls to attend the Winter Open House on Sunday, January 29th, from 1-3. Prospective students are welcome to come and see what Mercy has to offer.

The 33rd Annual Auction, “We Are Mercy” will be held at Mercy, Saturday, February 25th.The Auction is Mercy’s largest fund raising event of the year. Mothers Club proudly sponsors the Mercy Auction by donating items valued over $1000. Many of our moms are working with Kari Weber and her team. If you would like to donate an item, or your time, please contact Kari at klweber@mhsmi.org.  

Save the date!! The Mother Daughter Banquet will be held Wednesday, March 28th, beginning at 6:30 pm at the Novi Sheraton. Prepare yourself for an evening of laughs, and maybe some tears too. More details and tickets will be available soon.

Please join us Monday, February 6th, for our first meeting of 2012. Social time begins at 6:30 pm in the Media Center followed by a brief meeting at 7:00. We have many important announcements to share with you.  It’s never to late to volunteer, or meet new moms and socialize! Hope to see you there!

Mercy Mothers Club

Membership: Membership in the Mothers Club is open to all women (parent or guardian) of a current Mercy High School student. Generally meetings are held the first Monday of the month. Be sure to check the calendar for exact dates and times.

Purpose and Goals:

1. To support Mercy High School spiritually, socially andfinancially.

2. To develop closer relationships with our daughters.

3. To supportfellow members of the Mothers Club and Dads Club.

Committees:

The Mothers Club is responsible for a variety of committees and activities throughout the year. Each event is chaired by a member of the Mothers Club and is staffed by volunteers. Without your time and talents the Mothers Club simply cannot be a success.
