MERCY TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The Mercy Tuition Assistance Fund assists families who cannot afford tuition without some amount of financial assistance. A student may apply for tuition assistance once enrollment requirements are fulfilled and the deposit has been paid.
Tuition assistance is awarded annually by the Mercy High School Tuition Assistance Committee on the basis of financial need. Consideration is also given to student attendance, effort, and school involvement.
Mercy utilizes the independent review company Private School Aid Service (PSAS) to determine need. In order to apply for tuition assistance, families must complete the financial aid application (one per family) and forward it with the required documents directly to PSAS. PSAS applications will be available to the incoming Class of 2016 Freshwomen at the New Student information Meeting and at the time of Registration. Current students can pick up a form from the Advancement Office beginning February 1, 2012 for the 2012 - 2013 school year or submit the application online at psas.org. CLICK HERE for online application instructions and use school authorization code 1073. You can also CLICK HERE to download the PSAS forms and mail the PSAS form directly to the company. A fee of $24.00 should accompany your PSAS application.
The deadline for submitting PSAS applications is March 19, 2012. Tuition Assistance Recipients for the 2012 – 2013 school year will be notified by mail at the end of June.
The Detroit Archdiocese likewise offers a tuition assistance program. It is recommended that families also complete the Detroit Archdiocese Financial Aid form. Visit their website for details.

Join the Circle of Mercy
The Circle of Mercy is a group of people interested in helping make it possible for young women to attend Mercy High School by providing scholarships and tuition assistance. Their support may be structured as an endowed scholarship fully funded or funded over time. It can also take the form of a financial commitment over a specific period of time (usually 4 years or more), to be used for tuition assistance. This special group of donors will be acknowledged in a special section of our Annual Report. Donors who establish endowed scholarships or make a long-term commitment to financial assistance may be able to meet the specific student that they are sponsoring.
